This is an initiative by members of the Simula family in response to the devastating earthquake disaster that hit Turkey and Syria on the 6th of February 2023. It is our attempt to support of humanitarian aid and development organizations already working in Turkey and Syria, and who are under extreme pressure to address the immediate and short-term needs.
The URLs displayed on this website under the “HOW TO HELP?” are a curated list of organizations that has a long positive track record and a good reputation across the damaged regions.
We are also curating other URLs that could be useful for people in damaged regions, such as “reliable source of information”, “lost and found” and “coordinating efforts”, and we are considering publishing them soon. If you have useful urls, please send them our way with some description and we will work on putting those link online.
Finally, we would like to send our condolences to all of the survivors of the disaster and to everyone who lost someone dear.
